		<description>Well, the argument that something is art v. craft v. design is certainly &lt;em&gt;unhelpful&lt;/em&gt; at this point.  I should say, though, that I don&#039;t mean to suggest that I think artworks or artists are boring (in general)--or that the art getting made right now is any more boring than, for example, the mainstream films getting made. There are just as many boring works of art as anything else.  And just as many sublime works of art being made today by people who call themselves artists.  It&#039;s the category of art--how we react to it and how we view its role in our society, the particular questions it engenders--that I find boring and...no longer useful.</description>
